Biography

Grigorios Beligiannis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1974. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics of the University of Patras in 1997. He finished his postgraduate studies in “Computer & Information Technology” in 2000 and his doctoral dissertation in 2002 at the same time Department.
In 2007 he was elected to the lecturer's degree with knowledge area “Management Information Systems”. In 2011 he has evolved at the rank of Assistant Professor, in 2016 at the rank of Associate Professor and in 2020 at the rank of Professor with subject “Intelligent Information Systems”. He has 67 published research papers in international scientific journals, 50 published papers in scientific conferences and 4 chapters in edited book series. He has over 21 years of experience in teaching in Greek universities in undergraduate and post graduate courses. He has over 26 years of experience in participating in research projects. He has been Chairman of the Department of Business Administration of Food & Agricultural Enterprises, University of Patras, from September 2016 till August 2020. Since September 2022 he is the Chairman of The Department of Food Science & Technology, University of Patras.
Professor Beligiannis is Editorial Board Member of Applied Soft Computing, Section Board Member of Applied Sciences, Advisory Board of Helyion, International Editorial Review Board Member of Artificial Intelligence Research and Editorial Board Member of Journal of Advances in Artificial Intelligence, Journal of Intelligent Communication, Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Evolution, Journal of Intelligent Communication and International Journal of Cyber Forensics and Advanced Threat Investigations. He has been a member of the Technical Committee at more than 350 international scientific conferences. His research interests focus on Intelligent Algorithms of Decision Theory, on Intelligent Algorithm Applications to System Identification, Parameter Estimation and Operations Research problems and on Business Intelligence Systems.

Dr Keerti Jain is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at NIPER - Raebareli. She earned her M. Pharm. and PhD degrees from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr H.S. Gour Central University, Sagar. She completed her postdoctoral research at M.S. University of Vadodara, India, as a SERB-National Postdoctoral Fellow. She has about 16 years of research experience in nanomedicine-based drug delivery systems. Dr Jain has supervised M. Pharm., M.S. Pharm., Pharm. D., and PhD students in their research, which has been published in high-impact journals. Till now, 4 PhD (2 Awarded, 2 Thesis submitted) and 43 M. Pharm. /M.S. Pharm. theses have been awarded under her mentorship, and 5 PhD scholars and 6 M.S. Pharm. scholars are working under her guidance for their research work.
Dr Jain has filed seven patents based on her innovative research, out of which six patents have been granted by the Indian Patent Office. She has also received funding for research projects from CSIR, ICMR, SERB, CCRAS and ANRF, worth approximately ₹ 1.87 crore. She has published 5 books and more than 40 book chapters with international publishers. She has been awarded research fellowships, including SERB – Postdoctoral Fellowship, Senior Research Fellowship (CSIR), Junior Research Fellowship (UGC), Fellowship for training of young scientists (MPCST), Travel grant award (INSA) and International Travel Fellowship (ICMR and BT), apart from several other prestigious grants, fellowships, and awards. She has contributed seven modules, each containing four quadrants, for the nanobiotechnology subject in the ePG Pathshala program of the MHRD-UGC.
Recently, she was awarded the Gyanodaya Puruskar by NIPER Raebareli on 26 January 2025 for her excellent services. She has edited a thematic issue on “Theranostic applications of nanomaterials” for the journal, ‘Current Pharmaceutical Design’. She was awarded the prestigious ICMR–Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize for her research in 2019. She has been nominated for the Ranbaxy Research Scholar Award – 2012 and the BioAsia Innovation Award – 2015. She has also been awarded numerous best research presentation awards at international conferences, including IAPST–2025, SPER–Bangkok–2019, NIPiCON-2014, APTICON–2018, International Science Congress-2012, and 2011, etc. She has been a recipient of the Pharmaceutical Science Alumni Award 2006 at Dr. H. S. Gour University, Sagar (M.P.). She won the Most Innovative Idea award in LUFTHANSA Impact Week 2019, a reputed international platform. To date, she has been invited to present her research work at several national and international conferences, including ICYRAM-2012, held in Singapore; Bioencapsulation–2016, held in Lisbon, Portugal; and the International Conference–2019, held in Bangkok. She has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists consecutively from 2020 to 2025 in the field of Pharmacology & Pharmacy, a list created by Stanford University, USA. She is an active member of several societies, including the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), the Controlled Release Society – Indian Chapter (CRS-IC), the Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER), and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), etc.
